Fotografía Mexicana Intervenida

Friday 06 February 2015
The exhibition "Fotografía Mexicana Intervenida" where 7 artist has intervened on lost-and-found photography, opens on February 6, 2015 at 19.30 at the gallery TINGLADOGRAPHY on La Contitución 213, Oaxaca, México.

Performing Pictures piece for the exhibition is inspired by a story from the village Sta Ana Zegache, a recurring place in our artistic work. The story deals with a woman who dreams that she is running around on the grave yard in the night, shifting heads of animals, and even animals and human beings. When she wakes up in the morning and see herself in the mirror, she wears an animal head.

We would like to thank Konstnärsnämnden/The Swedish Arts Grants Committee for supporting our work stay in Mexico to produce the work for the exhibition as part of the work visit for the project No Such Thing As Was.
